The suction cup works very well on glass as it does not adhere to the wall or wood.

The arm is not long enough to reach the end of a bathroom counter top. If I place on my bathroom mirror, I have to bend over the counter a ways to get into focus on the magnifying mirror. This in my opinion defeats the purpose.
